The House

The story of the Rogers-Blake-Harrison House is rich with history and resilience. Originally constructed in 1792 by John and Mary Rogers, the charming residence suffered a devastating fire during the War of 1812, as American forces retreated in December 1813. Remarkably, Mary saved one of the home's exquisite fireplaces, a stunning symbol of the home's enduring spirit. In 1817, their son James rebuilt the house on its original foundation, which later became the beloved 'Anchor and the Crown' Inn. Today, Hattan House invites guests to experience a unique boutique B&B that offers unparalleled comforts, thoughtful touches and outstanding service, transforming a simple stay into a cherished memory.
